Opening the desk

Qwon keeps the creative loop close to the device. You choose a portrait (live capture or library import), enter one of seven Ateliers, optionally clear an emulsion-transfer prompt before AI plate options are requested, refine the magazine finish, and archive results in a personal Lookbook. Preferences such as export JPEG quality, salon pins, AI clearance acknowledgment, and local coin balance markers may remain in on-device storage so the desk reopens in a familiar state.

Because there is no mandatory account system, finished plates are not automatically uploaded into a Qwon-operated remote gallery. Material leaves the handset mainly when you ask for AI rendering, when you write a plate into the system Photos library, or when platform services attached to App Store distribution need to operate.

Signals the atelier actually touches

We do not claim that Qwon processes nothing. Portrait work produces images and short operational signals. Depending on the path you take, that may include: the portrait placed on the projection stage; an optional style reference used for lighting, grain, and graphic mood; Atelier brief language that steers plate generation; Lookbook image files plus metadata (Atelier id, masthead text, timestamps, pin state); permission states reported by iOS; and, if you allow App Tracking Transparency, limited usage signals that help us see how creators move through Ateliers and where the darkroom interface needs polish.

Portraits are treated as creative source material for styling. Qwon does not enroll faceprints, run identity checks, or assemble a biometric recognition database from your photo. AI work aims at magazine plate options, not identity verification.

Permissions, when a workflow needs them

  • Camera for a fresh darkroom capture
  • Photo library read for stage import
  • Photo library write when archiving a plate to Photos
  • Microphone if a live session includes optional spoken briefs or short takes
  • Tracking authorization for product-improvement signals, not for selling creative data to ad brokers

What stays local by default

Lookbook leaves live in the app document space. Salon pins, export quality, and clearance acknowledgment sit in device preferences. Clearing Lookbook from Darkroom Settings removes that local inventory. Uninstalling the app removes the associated document store under ordinary iOS behavior.

When pixels leave the handset

AI plate generation is the main outbound creative route. After you agree to emulsion transfer and request options, Qwon transmits the selected portrait, any style reference you attached, and the Atelier brief to Grsai, a third-party image service (including endpoints associated with grsai.dakka.com.cn / grsaiapi.com as configured for rendering). The purpose is narrow: return plate options for the current shoot. Qwon does not describe itself as a long-term warehouse for your source portrait on its own servers.

Rendering partners apply their own infrastructure and retention for the time needed to fulfill a request. Apple platform services may also process system events required to run an App Store app. We may disclose information when law or valid process requires it, or to protect users and the atelier. We do not sell your portrait work as a commercial data product.

This statement takes effect on September 13, 2026. Later revisions will replace the published HTML and refresh that date. Desk mail remains plate.ledger@qwonatelier.com.
Why processing occurs, and for how long

Processing exists to render AI plates you request, keep Lookbook and desk preferences available between sessions on the same device, honor permission flows, improve Atelier layout when tracking is allowed, answer mail you send, and meet legal duties. Local plates and preferences remain until you delete them, clear Lookbook, or remove the app. AI clearance acknowledgment persists so the first-shoot prompt is not repeated after you have already agreed. Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and keep ordinary records.

Controls available to you

You may refuse or later revoke camera, photos, microphone, or tracking access in system Settings; decline AI emulsion transfer and continue with paths that do not require outbound rendering; export to Photos only when you choose; clear Lookbook contents; or uninstall Qwon. For privacy questions grounded in a real workflow (AI shoot versus local archive), write plate.ledger@qwonatelier.com.

Qwon is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. If you believe that has occurred, contact the same address and we will review what we can control.

Care around transfers

We use commercially reasonable safeguards suited to a mobile creative tool: encrypted transport where platform and endpoint configuration support it, sandboxed Lookbook storage, and outbound payloads limited to what an AI shoot requires. Electronic transmission is never risk-free. Avoid sending images you are unwilling to transmit, and keep device access controls current.

If the atelier changes Atelier looks, AI routing, or permission timing, this statement will be updated in place. Continued use after publication of a revised version reflects awareness of the updated practices to the extent permitted by applicable law.
